تعرب منظمة “معًا من أجل العدالة” عن إدانتها الشديدة لتصاعد الإعدامات التعسفية في المملكة العربية السعودية، والتي شهدت في الآونة الأخيرة وتيرة غير مسبوقة تُنذر بكارثة حقوقية جديدة، في ظل صمت دولي مشين، وتطبيع سياسي ورياضي متسارع مع نظام يتجاهل أبسط المعايير القانونية والإنسانية.
ففي أسبوع واحد فقط، نفذت السلطات السعودية 22 حكم إعدام، ليرتفع عدد الإعدامات المنفذة في عام 2025 إلى أكثر من 240 حالة حتى مطلع أغسطس/آب، وفقًا لتقارير منظمات حقوقية دولية. وتعد هذه الأرقام الأعلى في تاريخ المملكة الحديث، رغم تعهدات سابقة من ولي العهد محمد بن سلمان بتقليص استخدام العقوبة.
وتؤكد المنظمة أن هذه الإعدامات لا تأتي في سياق عدالة منصفة أو محاكمات عادلة، بل هي نتيجة مباشرة لنظام قضائي مسيّس، يعتمد بشكل أساسي على الاعترافات المنتزعة تحت التعذيب، ويمنع المعتقلين من الوصول لمحامين، ويصدر أحكامًا قاسية على خلفية تغريدات أو نشاط سلمي عبر الإنترنت، في انتهاك فج لكل الأعراف الدولية.
وتسلط المنظمة الضوء على قضية الصحفي تركي الجاسر، الذي أُعدم في 14 يونيو/حزيران 2025 بعد أكثر من سبع سنوات من الاحتجاز التعسفي، بسبب تحقيقاته الصحفية ونشاطه الرقمي الذي فضح فيه فساد العائلة المالكة وانتهاكات حقوق الإنسان. وتؤكد المنظمة أن إعدام الجاسر، وهو أول صحفي تُنفذ بحقه عقوبة الإعدام في السعودية منذ اغتيال جمال خاشقجي عام 2018، يشكل جريمة مكتملة الأركان، وانحدارًا خطيرًا في مسار القمع السعودي.
كما تُدين المنظمة إعدام عبد الله الشمري، المحلل السياسي المعروف، في فبراير 2024، والحكم السابق بالإعدام على محمد الغامدي بسبب منشورات على مواقع التواصل، قبل تخفيفه لاحقًا إلى السجن لثلاثة عقود، في دلالة أخرى على حجم العبث والتسييس في ملفات القضاء.
وفي الوقت الذي تُنتهك فيه حياة الأبرياء وتُزهق أرواحهم ظلماً، تستمر بعض الحكومات والكيانات الدولية، وعلى رأسها الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا)، في تقديم الغطاء السياسي والدعائي للنظام السعودي، عبر منح تنظيم البطولات الكبرى، وغضّ الطرف عن الجرائم الحقوقية المتواصلة، بل والترويج لصورة زائفة عن “الانفتاح” و”الإصلاح”.
وتشدد المنظمة على أن استمرار المجتمع الدولي في التعامل الطبيعي مع السعودية، دون ربط التعاون بأي التزام حقوقي، يشجع النظام على المضي في القمع والإعدامات دون رادع، ويحول شعارات “حقوق الإنسان” إلى مجرد أدوات انتقائية تُستخدم حسب المصالح.
وعليه، تدعو منظمة “معًا من أجل العدالة” إلى:
- فتح تحقيق دولي مستقل في كافة حالات الإعدام التي تم تنفيذها مؤخرًا، وعلى رأسها إعدام تركي الجاسر وعبد الله الشمري.
- تجميد التعاون الدولي مع السعودية في المجالات الأمنية والقضائية، لحين التأكد من احترامها للمعايير الحقوقية.
- وقف منح السعودية أي امتيازات دولية رياضية أو ثقافية تُستخدم لتبييض سجلها الحقوقي.
- فرض عقوبات على المسؤولين عن إصدار وتنفيذ أحكام الإعدام التعسفية، وضمان عدم إفلاتهم من العقاب.
وتؤكد المنظمة أن الصمت لم يعد مقبولًا، وأن الدماء التي تُسفك تحت عباءة “القانون” الزائف، ستظل وصمة عار في جبين كل من يصمت، أو يطبع، أو يروّج.

Together for Justice expresses its deep concern and unequivocal condemnation of the sharp and unprecedented rise in executions carried out by Saudi authorities, marking a dangerous new chapter in the country’s systematic repression and erosion of the rule of law. This alarming trend is unfolding amid deafening silence and ongoing normalization by international governments, institutions, and sporting bodies that continue to legitimise and reward the Saudi regime despite its repeated violations of fundamental rights and legal obligations.
In just one week, Saudi Arabia executed 22 individuals, bringing the total number of executions in 2025 to over 240 by early August, according to international human rights monitors. These figures represent a record high in the kingdom’s recent history, contradicting previous assurances by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to scale back the use of the death penalty.
Together for Justice stresses that these executions are not the outcome of transparent or fair judicial processes. On the contrary, they are the result of a deeply flawed and politicized judicial system that routinely relies on confessions extracted under torture, denies defendants legal representation, and imposes death sentences for charges stemming from peaceful online activity or criticism of authorities—clear violations of international law.
One of the most disturbing recent cases is the execution of journalist Turki Al-Jasser on 14 June 2025, following more than seven years of arbitrary detention. Al-Jasser was reportedly targeted for his investigations into royal corruption and human rights abuses and for his online writings. His execution marks the first time Saudi Arabia has executed a journalist since the brutal killing of Jamal Khashoggi in 2018 and represents a grave escalation in the regime’s war on dissent.
The organization also condemns the execution of prominent political analyst Abdullah Al-Shammari in February 2024, and the previous death sentence issued against retired teacher Mohammed Al-Ghamdi based solely on his social media posts—a sentence later commuted to 30 years in prison. These cases highlight the widespread abuse of the judiciary to silence opposition and instill fear across society.
Shockingly, as these crimes unfold, the Saudi regime continues to enjoy expanding international partnerships, including high-profile sporting and entertainment deals. Organizations such as FIFA have granted Saudi Arabia hosting rights for global tournaments, providing a platform to whitewash its image through sport despite its horrific human rights record. International corporations, governments, and institutions remain engaged in lucrative agreements that ignore the human cost of their alliances.
Together for Justice affirms that such normalization, without any accountability mechanisms or human rights conditions, effectively rewards brutality, emboldens authoritarianism, and turns the concept of human rights into a selective, politically convenient slogan.
In light of these developments, Together for Justice calls for:
- An independent international investigation into all recent executions, particularly those of Turki Al-Jasser and Abdullah Al-Shammari.
- The suspension of international cooperation with Saudi Arabia in judicial and security sectors until meaningful legal reforms are implemented.
- A moratorium on awarding Saudi Arabia international sporting, cultural, or diplomatic privileges used to whitewash its repressive image.
- Targeted sanctions against Saudi officials involved in the issuance and execution of politically motivated death sentences, to ensure accountability and deterrence.
Together for Justice reiterates that silence is no longer a neutral position. Every life taken under the guise of a corrupt legal system is a stain on the conscience of all those who enable, excuse, or profit from the regime’s abuses.
