Saudi Regime Implicated in Gaza War Crimes Through $100 Million U.S. Arms Deal

Together for Justice strongly condemns the Saudi regime’s recent $100 million arms deal with the United States, which involves the sale of precision-guided missile systems manufactured by BAE Systems—a major arms contractor known for its long-standing involvement in supplying weapons to the Israeli military.
This deal, announced at a time when Israel is committing acts of genocide against civilians in the Gaza Strip with full U.S. support, signals more than a military transaction. It reflects the Saudi regime’s growing complicity in regional war crimes, particularly through indirect financial support for the very industries fueling mass atrocities in Palestine.
By directing such substantial resources toward a company that profits from arming the Israeli occupation, the Saudi regime is effectively enabling the continuation of systematic violence against the Palestinian people. BAE Systems has been instrumental in providing advanced weaponry used in indiscriminate airstrikes that have destroyed homes, hospitals, and schools throughout Gaza. Funding this company at this time, knowingly or otherwise, equates to financing ongoing war crimes.
Beyond the legal and moral implications, this deal represents a severe misuse of public funds. Saudi Arabia is currently facing economic pressures, rising inflation, and deepening social needs—none of which are addressed by channeling national wealth into foreign arms contracts. Rather than prioritising domestic recovery and public welfare, the regime is investing in militarisation that serves its political alliances and authoritarian entrenchment.
This arms deal should be understood within a broader regional pattern in which authoritarian regimes seek legitimacy through alignment with global powers, even at the cost of human life. In partnering with U.S. military interests and empowering Israeli arms suppliers, the Saudi regime is no longer a passive observer but an active enabler of regional oppression and devastation.
Together for Justice holds the Saudi regime accountable for its complicity in Israel’s crimes against humanity in Gaza. This deal further exposes the regime’s role in perpetuating injustice, strengthening occupation, and betraying the rights of the Palestinian people in favour of geopolitical interests and authoritarian preservation.
