Netanyahu and Trump’s Statements on “Resettling Palestinians in Saudi Arabia” Are an Unprecedented Insult to the Kingdom’s Sovereignty

Together for Justice strongly condemns the disgraceful and audacious statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump, suggesting the forced displacement of Palestinians and their resettlement in Saudi Arabia. These remarks are not just reckless political rhetoric but a direct violation of national sovereignty, an insult to the Palestinian people, and a blatant attempt to rewrite the region’s geography to serve the interests of the Zionist project.
Netanyahu, the head of a government notorious for its war crimes and ethnic cleansing policies, had the audacity to suggest that Saudi Arabia’s “vast lands” could accommodate a Palestinian state—an outrageous display of colonial arrogance. Meanwhile, Trump, in his characteristic disregard for international law and human dignity, proposed turning Gaza into the “Riviera of the Middle East” after expelling its people. These statements are not just provocative—they expose the real agenda of those seeking to erase Palestine and legitimize Israel’s occupation through mass displacement.
The official Saudi response, which merely reaffirmed the kingdom’s opposition to forced displacement, is far from sufficient. These statements by Netanyahu and Trump would not have been uttered so brazenly had there been a firm and unyielding stance from Riyadh and other Arab governments against such imperialistic proposals. This level of disrespect and direct attack on Saudi sovereignty would not have been conceivable without the climate of political submission and normalization efforts that have emboldened Israel and its allies to openly dictate the fate of Arab lands.
Let it be clear: Saudi Arabia is not Netanyahu’s to divide, nor is it Trump’s to negotiate over. Likewise, every inch of Palestine, from the river to the sea, belongs to its people—not as a bargaining chip in backroom deals designed to perpetuate Israeli colonization. The mere suggestion of such forced resettlement schemes is a violation of international law and an echo of past Nakbas that must never be allowed to happen again.
Together for Justice demands a stronger, more forceful Saudi response that goes beyond mere rhetoric. The kingdom must take concrete actions to deter such outrageous encroachments on its sovereignty and reject any involvement in the systematic ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. The Arab world cannot afford to tolerate even the discussion of these criminal proposals, let alone allow them to gain traction.
The international community, human rights organizations, and all advocates of justice must categorically reject and resist any plans aimed at displacing the Palestinian people under any pretext. There can be no peace or stability in the region without a complete rejection of occupation, ethnic cleansing, and land theft.
Palestine belongs to the Palestinians, and Saudi Arabia is not up for negotiation. The world must recognize that Netanyahu and Trump’s words are not just empty talk—they are calculated attempts to normalize further oppression and redraw the region to Israel’s advantage. These insults must be met with an unyielding rejection, not polite diplomacy.
