Saudi Regime Forcibly Disappeared Abdullah Jilan for Criticizing the Crown Prince
On May 12, 2021, Saudi security forces arrested the young man, Abdullah Yusuf Gilan, 29, for his activity on social media under a fake name and his criticism of Bin Salman’s regime.
The security forces raided his house in Medina, beat him and took him to one of the Saudi security headquarters.
In a video of Abdullah’s fiancée, she expressed her concern about Abdullah’s arrest, and her fears that he might face the same fate of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
She said that she lost contact with him since mid-May, and his friends told her that he was being held by the security forces.
She called on human rights organisations to take urgent action to save her fiancé’s life.
Together for Justice calls on the Saudi regime to reveal the fate of the forcibly disappeared young man Abdullah Yusuf Jilan who was arrested without any legal basis, and to enable his family to check on him.
