Together for Justice Condemns Israeli Aggression on Gaza

Together for Justice strongly condemns the ongoing Israeli bloody aggression on the Gaza Strip, launched on Friday, August 5, 2022, in clear violation of international laws and conventions.

The Palestinian health ministry declared that the Israeli aggression resulted so far in the death of 12 citizens, including a five-year-old girl, and a 23-year-old woman. Dozens of civilians were also injured during the attacks.

The Israeli brutal escalation came two weeks after US President Joe Biden’s visit to the Middle East, during which he met with Arab and Israeli leaders in an effort to push Arab countries, led by Saudi Arabia, to take steps toward normalization with Israel.

Only a few days after Saudi Arabia decided to open its airspace to all air carriers, paving the way for more overflights to and from Israel, the Israeli authorities responded by carrying more bloody attacks on the besieged enclave.

In May 2021, Israeli army and Palestinian resistance forces reached a truce agreement to end an 11-day aggression. However, Israel has repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement in violation of the international laws.

We affirm that the Israeli aggression on Gaza is a blatant attack on humanity as a whole and a clear violation of international laws. We also stress that the impunity enjoyed by the Israeli occupation has resulted in more violations of international laws and in more attack on Palestinians.

We further call on world leaders to intervene urgently to put an end to the suffering of the people of Gaza, just like they acted against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
